Does Skinplace require Pro?

No. Skinplace is part of the free plan alongside Skinport, CSFloat, LIS-SKINS and Shadowpay. Pro only adds live refresh, buy orders, charts, sales history and the five Pro marketplaces.
How current are the prices on the free plan?

Free serves cached snapshots that are roughly two hours old, which is fine for spotting obvious mispricing. Pro refreshes about every five minutes when you need to act on a moving market.
Which currency is shown?

The extension follows the currency Skinplace is displaying, so comparison prices are never in a different currency than the listing you are looking at.
