Highlight

Doppler phase prices

CSPriceAPI tracks every Doppler & Gamma Doppler phase individually — Phase 1‑4, Ruby, Sapphire, Black Pearl, Emerald — so the CSFloat price you read is the price of the actual phase, not an averaged guess.

Critical: Each Doppler phase is its own entry: the phase is appended to market_hash_name after the exterior (e.g. ★ Butterfly Knife | Doppler (Factory New) (Ruby)) and the row carries a phase field. Joining on the base name without phase collapses a Ruby into a Phase 2 price.

Reading CSFloat data correctly

Listing price ≠ buy order. CSFloat displays both asks and bids on-site. CSPriceAPI listing endpoints return lowest ask snapshots. CSPriceAPI has no CSFloat buy orders; for bid-side context use the YouPin full buyorder book.

count = listings, not sales. Twelve listings means twelve sellers at or near that price tier — not twelve sales today.

USD only. Convert to CNY/EUR in your layer for cross-market ROI. Do not assume 1:1 with Skinport EUR.

Float premiums. Low-float Factory New listings can carry premiums on CSFloat. For wear-bucket pricing, /v2/prices/float-ranged covers YouPin only.

Cross-market: CSFloat sell vs YouPin buy

Classic Western exit / CN entry check:

  1. YouPin ask = cost to buy in China (CNY).
  2. CSFloat ask = what Western sellers list at (USD).
  3. YouPin buyorder = realistic instant exit in CN (dedicated endpoint).

Net ROI must subtract: CSFloat seller fee (~2%), withdrawal, FX spread, and time risk.

curl -s "https://api.cspriceapi.com/v1/prices/youpin/buyorder" \
  -H "x-api-key: YOUR_API_KEY"

Align buyorder rows by (market_hash_name, phase) the same way as listing prices.

Worked example: Phase-aware spread

Item: ★ Karambit | Doppler (Factory New), Ruby

MarketPhasePriceCurrency
YouPinRuby¥50,000CNY
CSFloatRuby$6,950USD

Illustrative prices, scaled to the Ruby/Phase 4 ratio (about 5.6×) for the Karambit FN in the Doppler guide snapshot of 26 Sep 2026 (Ruby ≈ €6,448, Phase 4 ≈ €1,148 median ask).

At ¥7.2/USD, YouPin ≈ $6,944. CSFloat ≈ $6,950 — rough parity on this phase. If you accidentally matched YouPin's Phase 4 row (~$1,240), you'd see a fake ~460% arb.

Always filter: phase == "Ruby".

CSFloat questions answered

How do I get CSFloat prices as JSON?

Call GET https://api.cspriceapi.com/v1/prices/latest?markets=csfloat with your key in the x-api-key header. You get the lowest active CSFloat listing in USD (in US cents, as CSFloat reports them), the listing count, 24-hour to 90-day price changes and per-phase Doppler prices for every item, refreshed about every 5 minutes. Daily price history for the same items is on the Enterprise plan.

Can I compare CSFloat with BUFF163 and YouPin in one request?

Yes. POST /v1/prices/latest with up to 100 market_hash_name values and markets csfloat, buff163 and youpin returns all three in one response with the same fields. CSFloat prices are in USD, BUFF163 and YouPin in CNY, so convert to one currency before comparing. All 13 marketplaces work the same way.

Do I need a CSFloat account or API key to get CSFloat prices?

No. CSPriceAPI collects CSFloat prices itself, so you only need a CSPriceAPI key: no CSFloat account, no scraping and no CSFloat rate limits. A free 2-day test key can be created instantly in the #get-testkey channel on the Discord: it covers every endpoint except price history, with sales data limited to the last 24 hours.

Does CSPriceAPI provide a CSFloat API?

Yes. Use GET /v1/prices/latest?markets=csfloat with your API key. Check /docs for the exact response schema and authentication headers.

Can I compare CSFloat with other markets?

Yes. Request multiple market endpoints (e.g. csfloat, youpin, skinport) with the same API key and align items by market_hash_name in your application.

What is the CS2 skin price API behind CSFloat data?

CSPriceAPI is a CS2 skin price API covering 13 markets, with live snapshots about every 5 minutes. CSFloat is one of 13 marketplaces in the same REST interface.
